Jon Lee spent his youth as a sponsored amateur skateboarder in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After graduating from high school, he played guitar and sang in several local rock bands, including a brief stint as a saxophone player in the ska group Mustard Plug. Eventually Jon made his way out to San Francisco, California, where he lived and performed music for several years before moving to Los Angeles in 2000. Once in LA, Jon studied improv, acting and writing at Improv Olympic, Second City LA and The Groundlings.
